Qualification Overview

The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF) is intended for those who wish to enter into a teaching role and for those who have worked in assessing roles and wish to progress on to a teaching qualification. The qualification is also suitable for trainee teachers as well as those who have experience in a teaching role.

The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF) provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of delivering education and training, assessing learners, planning in education and training, using resources in the delivery in education and training, and understanding the roles and responsibilities within education and training.

There are 7 units to be completed:

*Teaching, learning and assessment in education and training

*Developing teaching, learning and assessment in education and training

*Theories, principles and models in education and training

*Wider professional practice and development in education and training

*Developing, using and organising resources in a specialist area

*Inclusive practice

*Teaching in a specialist area

You will be assessed by a mixture of assignments and practicals/observations. 

In your answers, you should demonstrate that you have a good understanding of the unit. All work is digitally uploaded to our secure online learning platform and assessed by a qualified tutor. Work is then independently reviewed by an specialist IQA. 

Once purchased you will be contacted within 48 hours with information on how to access this course. You will be sent your unique log in and password, and granted access to the learning resources. 

Please note: For this course, you will need access to at least 100 hours of teaching practice, and be observed a minimum of 8 times for a minimum of 8 hours. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure you have access to an assessor. We cannot provide you with an assessor for observations.
